Giles Scott is the author of the memoir If In An Echo (forthcoming spring, 2025 from Upset Press), and is currently at work on a series of essays about teaching.
Scott’s writing has recently appeared in Catapult, The Millions, Ninth Letter, Hinterland, The Critical Flame, and The Washington Post. Born in the north of England, he has called the U.S. home for the last two decades, completing an M.F.A. at Brooklyn College, where he studied with Allen Ginsberg, and a PhD in English and American literature at Stanford University. He currently teaches high-school English in the San Francisco Bay area where he lives with his wife, two children, and two dogs.
